I have the xl jig and need this to make plugs for those bigger holes. Will this bit work in my xl jig? I don't want to have to buy the 720.

You will need to purchase the 720 Jig, Plug cutter and XL Bit. You can also use 1/2" wooden dowels, cut down and glued in.

We do not have anything that can cut a plug without purchasing the 720 and the Plug cutters.

No, you will have to use this with the Custom Plug Cutter Drill Guide Kit(ACS740) and the 720 Jigs.

Can I use the Kcp 1060 drill in the KPHA740 jig?

Yes, you will se the HD Plug Cutter bit on the 740 in the larger hole on that block

If you are looking to make plugs with your 720. You will need to purchase the KPHA740 block to make standard plugs. If you are looking to make HD Plug, you will need that block plus the KPC1060 bit. If you are looking to make Micro Plugs, you will need that block plus the KPC1040 bit.
