Reviews

Instructions was easy to understand

"Instructions was easy to understand and easy to assemble. Works as advertised. It's a life saver when your bigger projects can't fit under your drill press. I highly recommend it. Looking forward to purchasing more Kreg tools in the future."

Very sturdy. Takes some effort

"Very sturdy. Takes some effort to compress the spring during use but nothing too bad. I like the depth stop and agile angle settings."

Curtis B. (5/5)

Great for DIY

"It's great for DIY projects around the house, but I would be reluctant to use it on any project requiring precision and dead on accuracy. There's enough play in the vertical travel to prevent me from using it on any of my musical instruments."

I am very pleased with

"I am very pleased with my purchase. The drill guide pro makes drilling accurate holes in round stock, edges of boards and other awkward items a breeze. It is kinda like a portable drill press without the bulk of a floor standing drill press."

Eric W. (5/5)

First time using a drill

"First time using a drill guide. A little cumbersome attaching a keyless chuck drill to the drill guide with big hands. Once attached worked very well. Assembly is easy. . . . as long as you read directions. I went rouge and had to disassemble once I read the directions."

TIM R. (5/5)

I’ve just received my drill

"I’ve just received my drill guide pro. I’m looking forward to using it to drill more accurate angled hole vs. trying to freehand them. It will be nice to have drill press accuracy in places I can’t use a drill press."

This Makes Drilling Precise Holes a Dream!

"I bought the Kreg Drill Guide Pro a few weeks ago as I don't have enough room in my one-car garage for a drill press. Now that I have, I don't really think I need a drill press! The Drill Guide Pro is fantastic for drilling at the exact angle you need and the price is amazing too! If you're on the fence about getting one, do yourself a favor and go ahead and buy it. You won't be disappointed!"

Eric J. (5/5)

Should perform like all Kreg tools & do the intended job

"No opportunity to use it as of yet, but it appears well thought out and produced. It appears it will do what we purchased it for, like all Kreg tools we've purchased"

G M. (5/5)

It took a little to

"It took a little to get used to but after that it really came in clutch."

Chad M. (5/5)

Flimsy

"Feels cheap, angle guide won't hold - even after vigorous tightening, instructions for assembly are not completely accurate. I would never buy again."

It will work with any brand corded or cordless drill.

No, we do not have an edge guide

1-7/8" from the outside of the feet to drilling center.

So a standard cordless makita drill with 1/2" chuck won't work with this?
You can use a 1/2" Makita drill chuck to attach to the arbor on the Kreg Drill Guide Pro.
What is the distance between the rods? For example, could a pen centering vise fit between the rods?
There is approximately 3-3/8" clear space between the rods and springs. We believe this is too narrow for most pen centering vises.

Yes, you can use any drill as long as it has a 3/8" or larger chuck.
Does the Drill Guide Pro work with an impact or hammer drill?
We do not recommend using the Drill Guide Pro with impacts or hammer drills with the hammer function turned on. It will work with hammer drills if the hammer function is turned off
