"I'm not a carpenter, will never claim to be. But several years ago, probably 10 at least, my wife had an idea that required bringing wood together. I initially bought the mini pocket hole tool, but realized the K4 would be a better match. Learned a lot, finished the project and put the Kreg tools away. 10 plus years later, another state, another house - another project. An old home has old problems, and we had to build a small wall over cement blocks. The K4 system was the key to completion. But - I had to go back over the instructions. Adjustments made, off to work. The first hole had blue plastic coming out with the saw dust. I knew that wasn't good. Upon investigation, I had manipulated the drill guide block, but didn't catch that I had moved it to the lowest position, resulting in drilling through the base. The tools work well, they allow me to find a solution to my wife's expectations. I just need to set up a "Hey Dummy" reminder to double check each adjustment, especially when there are years between uses."
"I got this as a christmas present from my family and didn’t expect to use it as much as I do. Part of that is just how easy it is to pull out and set up. I keep it on a cabinet shelf above my workbench and anytime I need it I just pull it out. It sets up in seconds, and after buying screws in various sizes and lengths there’s basically nothing I can’t use it on. Very impressed."
"Great tool!"
"Bought a few years ago to build my reloading bench. Was not sure about it. Now have used it on a few more projects and love it"
"I like this jig a lot for many reasons easy to use, easy to adjust and very accurate. All Kreg tools that I have are really well made to last for long time. Thank you"
"Does exactly what i need it to do. Constructed of Tough ridged material."
"I have the 1st original kreg jig, still works great, bought the k 4 , the rubber tip deteriorated, you have to purchase the whole toggle clamp when all you need is the tip, the toggle clamp works fine, it doesn't make sense whatsoever, Kreg boast about the durability of their products, yes the plasticjigs are durable, the old hard rubber tips outlast the newer softer rubber tips, Kreg didn't plan on these tips to deteriorate bit I do think Kreg should offer a snap on replacement tip of better quality, I enjoy Kregs products, Shelf pin jig, hidden deck screw jig, and quality fasteners for various applications, The deterioration of the tip is a fail Kreg didn't count on happening."
"I'm new to pocket screws and wasn't sure they would be the joinery method of choice for me. I used this jig to assemble drawers made from 3/4" plywood, and they worked as advertised. I wanted to use dowels, but this jig seemed a more affordable first step. Kreg makes great quality tools and I plan on relying on this jig and their screws until they prove to be the wrong choice. So far, so good."
"I had the R3 jig for a few years, and drilled a lot of holes with it. My wife bought the K4 for me for Christmas. I love it, so much faster and easier to use when drilling a lot of holes. I built 12 drawers this weekend using it and it cut my time by more than half."
