Don't love. The installation process

"Don't love. The installation process is super error prone. Kreg really needs to provide a template for cutting the insert out. I ended up buying such a template from another manufacturer and wish I had gone with another manufacturer from the start."

Great Fit

"My Porter Cable router fit the plate perfectly. I haven’t used the new router table I recently purchased from Kreg. However, I did assemble it and I was pleased with the quality."

Solid Plate but a Few Little Things...

"The plate itself is solid and I look forward to getting more use out of it. I also will say that it did fit my Bosch router perfectly so there's another plus. The plate is flat and the rings are easy to install/remove. There's a few little things though about the assembly which frustrated me. The plate is clearly designed with the Kreg table in mind. I made my own router table and expressly bought this plate for it. I knew going into it that I would have to do the "rabbeted" method to work it. I found a few things surprising. 1) No leveling screws. I would have thought this to be standard but it wasn't. I managed to get around this by using small plumbing O-Rings between the plate and table lip until I got the right fit flat to my table. 2) Which brings me to the second issue -- no nuts for the bolts. C'mon Kreg it's like what 3 cents to include a few wing nuts? Another trip to the hardware store. As far as function and doing the job, I am happy. If I were to do it again, I'd probably buy the leveling feet too... maybe you should learn from my ails dear reader!"

Q&A

Can I buy this insert plate without the red reducing rings? The reason is that I already have another plate for a different router and a complete set of the reducing rings. I really don’t need any more rings. If this is possible please shoot me e price. Thanks
No, we only sell those in a complete package.
Will this insert fit my bosch ra1171 table?
No, the insert is a different size than the tables plate hole.
I have Bosch GOF 130 Professional router. Is this table compatible with my router?
That one is not on the list of routers that have that old pattern. If that router has the same hole pattern as the Porter-Cable 690/890 Series Routers, then it will work. If not, you will need to purchase the blank Insert Plate.
apart from the color. is there any differencebetween the blue. PRS3046 and the black PRS4036? Material? Durability? Thank you,
The 3046 is the older model which is discontinued. The 4036 is the newer item which is a little stronger material.
Does this come predrilled for Bosch 1617 EVS routet
Yes, this will be drilled for the 1617 Router
My 890 fixed base has 2 holes drilled to access the adjustment mechanism for raising and lowering the router. Are these pre drilled as well?
All holes will be pre-drilled to mount the unit.
Will this fit the 1617evs from Bosch cuz my mounting plate has 4 screws?
You will only need 3 screws per the routers manufacture specs. But if you want to drill that forth, you sure can.
What size drill and counter sink bits are best for mounting a Bosch 1617 to the undrilled plate?
That will all depend on the bolt you have. You will need to check that with the mounting bolt head size.
Will any of the plates work with the Dewalt DW618 without drilling holes?
None of the holes will match up. You will need to drill your own holes in the blank plate.
Will this work with the Dewalt DWP611?
No, the smaller compact/trim routers will not work as they are too small to safely attach to the plate.
