"I actually have the one with the dog holes. I ordered wrong one. Company was quick to make my mistake right. I do a combination of woodwork and art. This thing is perfect for me and I’m just starting to figure out what I can do. It’s super solid, rolls easy, ample storage underneath and adjustable height is appreciated, no more sore back. - The benches and tops are made overseas.
- What is the height measurement between the bottom shelf and the top rail? I have a 20" tall and 44" wide miter saw I'd like to put on the lower shelf but am not sure if it would fit. Thank you.

- How do I mount the bench top to the Universal Bench?
- Please refer to the instruction manual that comes packaged in the box with the legs for the Universal Bench.
- Do I need to apply a finish or seal the benchtop?
- No. All of our Hardwood Benchtops have a clear coat finish to seal them, and prevent them from warping.
- What type of wood are the bench tops made of?
- Hevea — This is a wood very comparable to maple in hardness however it is a faster growing species and is more renewable than maple. Hevea is one of the most popular types of wood for in-home butcher block countertops.
- Is there an easy way to visualize and customize my workbench?

- What clamps are compatible with the Universal Bench with Hardwood Top?
- There are a variety of clamps that are compatible with the Universal Benches with Hardwood Top. (1) Versa-Grip™ Clamps — The removable/movable head allows the clamp to be used through dog holes. Alternatively, they can be used around the outside of the bench due to the 2” overhang around the perimeter of the top (2) In-Line Clamp — This clamp only works in Universal Benches with Dog Holes. The clamp mounts down into the ¾” doghole and provides side-to-side clamping pressure. (3) Bench Clamp with Base — The base mounts through the dog holes in the bench to allow for downward clamping force. (4) Clamp Vise — Mount our Clamp Vice to the side of the Universal Bench’s top for an easy, light-duty bench vice.

- We offer complete Universal Benches in four different sizes so you have a size that’s best for your workspace large or small.
- Is this a better solution than a sawhorse or portable table?
- We designed the Universal Bench to be a more permanent bench in your shop space. However, if you’d like to make it portable, adding a set of our 3" Dual-Locking Casters can make the bench easy to move around your space. As an added bonus, when compared to most portable workbenches, the 1 ½” thick butcher block tops are ultra-flat and resist flex, adding greater precision to your projects.
