Kreg Router Plate

"I got a Triton MOF001 router that is too large for my current bench top router table. I built a new table cabinet with a veneered MDF top. I decided to buy a table insert rather than make my own because Kreg provides a pre-drilled hole that Triton needs to accommodate a lift control handle. The Kreg router plate is beautifully made, solid and very durable. The installation was straightforward and the only modification I need to make was substituting the supplied machine screws with brass wood screws to lock the plate to the rabbet because I was drilling into MDF. The only criticism I have of the process was the delivery of my part. No UPS, USPS or Fedex tracking number was provided and the plate arrived four days later than I expected. Emails to Kreg about delivery date went unanswered. Overall, I am very happy with the product and have used the table dozens of times in the last couple of weeks."

Predrilled insert for Kreg Router Table

"The insert table was perfect except I discovered I paid $28 more than if I ordered it from Amazon which influenced my review greatly. Great insert but seemingly overpriced. Kreg $85.00, Amazon $57.00"

Got exactly what I ordered

"Got exactly what I ordered and in a timely manner. Now I get to see if it's as easy to install in my router cabinet as it looks. Gonna have fun at any rate."

Q&A

I have seen in youtube reviews that when installed in a router table, the two router handles are at an angle (not parallel) to the router fence. That is because of the location of the micro adjust knob. By placing the router at an angle, we are allowing the crank handle to be inserted into the router plate with a distance from the router fence, thus preventing the fence from interfering with it. Do the holes that are pre-drilled on the router plate have one for the crank handle, and do they also prevent the fence from interfering with the handle? Thank you.
Yes, the predrilled holes are in the correct spot, so they do not interfere with the fence.
Does this mounting plate have any available layout template for installation in a homemade router table?
We do not have a template for our plates. You will need to set it down on the top and trace it out.
Does this plate work for the Triton TRA002?
Yes, it will work.
Does the crack handle come with the plate for the triton
No, the plate will not include the crank handle. The router usually comes with that.
Does the router insert plate kit for a Triton router include a starter pin and/or a hole for a starter pin?
Yes, it will come with the starting pin.
Is it good for CMT 8E alias Triton JOF001?
If the mounting holes are the same as the Triton M0F001 or TRA001 then it will work as the pre-drilled holes are drilled to match those.
I have a new Kreg router table. I'm having some difficult in deciding where to drill holes for my Triton router. Do you sell a template?
We do not sell a template, you can use the glide plate that is attached to that router base.
I just ordered a Keegan precision rotor table for my grandson who has a triton router. Will I be able to swap the router table insert plate if it isn’t pre-drilled for a triton router?
The Router Tables will come with the undrilled router plate. The Pre-Drilled Plates will need to be purchased separate.
What's the difference between a KREG PRS4034 and a PRS4036 Precision Router Table insert?
The 4034 is pre-drilled for a couple Triton Routers and the 4036 is for a couple of the Porter-Cable and Bosch.
I have seen several You Tube videos for making Table Saw Extensions into Router Tables using Kreg Insert Plates, they always show a Crank Handle being inserted thru the top of the Insert Plate, but I see NO SUCH holes in the Insert Plate nor a Crank Handle with your Inseert Plate, nor do I see and way of locking the router in place once you have set the height from the top of the table. Can you verify Yes or No that the Insert comes with the Height Adjusting Crank and that the router can be locked from the top once the proper height adjustment has been set?
This Plate will have the holes for the crank handle. The Triton will be able to adjusted above the tabletop.
