"It would be awesome, and would definitely increase sales if you developed a corded version! Even an adapter to use batteries of other brands would be great. The issue is that beginners, or even hobbyist woodworkers typically aren’t going to drop $500 for a tool they will only use on a limited basis. I believe most individuals who would buy the Edge are those that have wanted a Festool Domino, but are unable, or refuse to pay the high price. However, many of those who are interested in the Edge already have a battery platform and the last thing we want is yet another tool brand with yet another battery platform. That is my only issue with buying the Edge when it’s released. At a minimum I hope a high amp battery and charger is included in the $500 price of the Edge. If you don’t develop a corded version, hopefully someone will develop a battery adapter so we can use the battery platform we currently have."
