Q&A

I had asked " Will this work for 2" screws on 1 1/2" material? The depth guide for the bit only goes to 1 3/8" and got a response that didn't answer the question. The question was whether or not the drill bit would work for 2" screws as the depth guide didn't have markings for it. The respondent dealt with the screw length only. Please respond if this drill bit can be used with 2" screws (or even 2 1/2" screws?)..
This drill bit will work for any of our standard screws from 3/4" to 2-1/2" length. That will all depend setting on your jig which is determined by on the thickness of your lumber.
Will this work for 2" screws on 1 1/2" material? The depth guide for the bit only goes to 1 3/8".
No, you will need 2-1/2" screws for 1-1/2" thickness.
What is the length of the bit including the hex portion?
The total length is 6-3/16".
Markings on my drill bit (micro pocket hole jig) not visible. Please advise where to position stop collar for 12 mm and 19 mm thick material. Thanks.
For 12mm you will want to set the depth collar 3 1/4" from the step of the bit. For 19mm you will want to set the depth collar 3 9/16" from the step of the bit.
will this work with my older aluminum K2?
Yes, this will work with the older jigs as well
will this work for my foreman if not which is?
Yes, either the KPHA300 or KPHA308 will work with the DB210 Foreman.
Can this bit also be used in a standard chuck drill?
The hex portion of the bit will work perfectly in a regular chuck.
Do you offer Drill-Bit Sharpening?
After careful consideration, Kreg has discontinued sharpening drill bits. We appreciate and value our relationship and regret any inconvenience this decision may cause.
