Loose tenon joints are comparable in strength to traditional mortise-and-tenon joints due to:
- Increased glue surface area
- Deeper, interlocking joints
- Precise mortise alignment
During short sessions, dust extraction is not required with the Kreg Edge due to the built-in chip-relief slots in the base. For larger projects when dust collection is needed, it includes a 1¼" dust port. The increased airflow from the chip-relief slots on the base also make for highly effective dust collection in these instances.
Kreg tenon sizes are 5 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm, and 10 mm. Corresponding 5 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm, and 10 mm cutters will also be available.
Kreg Edge cutters are compatible with the Kreg Edge as well as the Festool Domino. Kreg loose tenons have been specifically designed to pair best with Kreg Edge cutters.
