Fantastic

"It’s very rare that you can feel yourself level-up in real time, but Kreg has made that possible. I purchased this jig after seeing a few youtube channels praise it’s ease of use and quality. And oh boy were they right. I’ve never had a project come together so quickly. Near the end of the project I called Kreg because one of the small plastic pins in the material thickness stop had sheared off and was looking for a replacement. This was on a Thursday afternoon. The customer service representative was frankly fantastic and in less than 10 minutes she confirmed they would send me a replacement. First thing Monday morning A WHOLE NEW JIG ASSEMBLY ARRIVED!!! I am blown away at how well thought out the kit is and how painless their customer service is. I will definitely be shopping with Kreg in the future."

If Norm Abrams Joined Riverdance…

"Having been an Irish dancer for over a decade when younger but never having used a pocket-hole jig before in my life, the irony of purchasing my first for this particular project wasn’t lost on me. I picked up the Kreg Pocket-Hole Jig 320 while grabbing lumber to build an Irish snug on my back staircase landing. I’m only about a pinky toe farther up the woodworking ladder than “Absolute Beginner” but the jig didn’t make me feel that way. The setup was straightforward, the instructions were crystal clear, and once I did a couple of test holes, boom. The jigger (me) was jigging (it). The joints came together far more cleanly and securely than I expected, making the whole process practically seamless. Instead of wrestling with complicated joinery, I could focus on the fun part — actually bringing the snug to life. There is something deeply satisfying about standing back and looking at a project with so much personality— and this little bugger helped make it possible. If you’re new to woodworking, especially if you’ve looked at jigs and assumed they were “for other people,” this is a wonderful place to start. It’s beginner-friendly without feeling flimsy or limiting. Highly recommend — especially for anyone building shelves, seating, built-ins, or anything cozy and custom. This jig helped me turn a rainy day idea into a little Irish hideaway."

Q&A

Interested in your 320 pocket hole jig for a cabinet build project. The unit shows material thicknesses of 1/2, 3/4 and 1 1/2". Would I be able to use it for 5/8" thick material? Thanks
Yes, you will use the material thickness gauge to find out what settings you use.
I have the 320. Instructions indicate the material stops can be removed, but is unclear how this is done. Can you explain?
You will slide the bottom up and it should snap off.
I use the pocket hole jig 320 all the time. I am joining mitered 1x4’s . I like this jig a lot, but find that adjustable stops don’t stay put. I’ve resorted to taping them with electric tape, but that is not a permanent fix. Any suggestions?

does this include wood clamps
No, this will not include any clamps.
I have the Kreg Pocket Hole Jig 320, and I'm building the Built to Last Potting Bench using the instructions from your website. When joining 2x4s and 2x6s, I understand I use both the jig and the drill bit on 1 1/2" setting, however, I'm confused when the instructions say to change the settings to 1" (to attach the 2x4s to the 5/4x6 boards). There is no 1" setting on the jig. I can position the collar on the drill bit to 1", but what setting do I use on the jig? My only choices are 1/2", 3/4", or 1 1/2".
When working with lumber of two different thicknesses, you will want to set the jig to the smaller thickness. So usually you will set it to 1" and use the 1-1/2" screw. But since you are using the 320, you will need to use the material thickness gauge and hang it over the edge of the wood per the instructions. That gauge has setting ranges on there. Where ever that lands, you will see the settings needed. For 1", it will land in the book. Then you will go to the manual to find the settings and screw length. It will let you know you will use the 3/4" settings and the 1-1/2" screw.
I want to construct sturdy doors made of 1x2 lumber to be used in my raised garden to keep squirrels out. The doors will have chicken wire attached to them. I have your 320 tool however the drill bit looks too large for use on a 1x2. Do you have a tool that will work in this situation?
You sure can use the 320 with the 1x2. You will drill the holes with the 3/4" settings and use the 1-1/4" screws.
How do you change the size of the hole? I want to insert a 5/8” dowel for a coat rack.
The 320 only uses a 3/8" bit.
I have a jig 320. One of the gray material stops broke. Where can I get another one?
To get any replacement parts, please give out Tech Team a call at 800-447-8638 M-F 8-5 CST or email them at technicalsupport@kregtool.com
Why does the drill bit not fit with the sample screws included (or any keel screws for that matter)?
That should fit all the screws. If you have not already, please email technicalsupport@kregtool.com and they will help you out.
Difference between k5 and the 720 pro
They will drill the same style holes. The 720 has a self adjusting drill guide for the thickness so no adjustment needed. The bit also has quick set markings for 1/2", 3/4" and 1-1/2". The K5, you will need to adjust the drill guide manually and use the setup block and drill guide to set to correct setting.
