Will this work with a 4 1/2 inch circular saw: No, you will need at least a 6.5" saw.
Can the cross cut guide be used with a worm drive saw: Yes, it will work.
I see that the widest material you can cut with this is 8", but what is the narrowest material that it is safe to cut with this guide?: The max cut with this is 8" so that will be the largest size you want to use to be safe.
What is the smallest width you could cut?: Cut material up to 8" wide
I use a portable Dewalt saw which cuts left to the body but in the opposite direction shown in your adverts. Can you flip your tool over so I can cut.: Works with left- or right-blade circular saws. You can only use this by holding with your left hand and your saw in your right.
