Transform your circular saw into a high-performance track-guided cutting tool for breaking down full sheets of plywood

Set your projects up for success by making straight, accurate, splinter-free cuts with the Accu-Cut™ XL Circular Saw Track Guide. It rips, crosscuts, and makes angled cuts up to 100" long in plywood, MDF, and other large panels with accuracy and control.

The Accu-Cut XL guides your circular saw along an extended-length aluminum track that holds the saw steady and keeps your cuts straight. The track guide is designed for simplicity: just mount your saw to the Universal Sled, align the Accu-Cut XL track to the cut line, and make the high-quality cuts you need. The anti-chip guide strips prevent splintering and tearout through the entire length of your cut. The same strips also feature an anti-slip surface that holds the track in place without clamps.

Pretty good

Easy enough to put together. I found the saw and guide could wobble a bit and have to figure out how to adapt to this. Also, they should include some extra set screws for the connectors. I dropped one while putting it together and it took forever to find. I imagine I will only use a couple of tracks most often and will want to take apart. These set screws are going to get lost at some point and they are so specific so they will be hard to replace.

Incredibly accurate system

I used my Accu-Cut XL on a Baltic birch project and it made perfect cuts. Setting up the guide to make a perfectly accurate cut is a little tedious as the guide strips grip the wood so well it doesn't like to slide sideways. So setup is time consuming when you make a lot of cuts. Also I wish the locking screws used on the back side of the track to hold the connectors had a conventional hex nut instead of Philips. I torqued mine down as much as possible but after my first cutting session I found one of them on the floor. Sure enough it came out, presumably from vibration. I don't want to use threadlocker compound on them because I wouldn't be able to separate the sections when I need it to. Also, the side of the cut under the guide strip cuts clean as a razor blade, however, I experience minor tearout on the outboard side. It makes things tedious having to put down masking tape to cut on to prevent tearout, not to mention expensive. Some sort of zero clearance throat plate needs to be developed to prevent outboard tearout. One last thing. If you lift your saw at all at the end of a cut it will cut into the guide strip. Fortunately, it still cuts perfectly straight as the guide strip's main function is to eyeball where you need to place the track properly. I hope these observations might help Kreg improve their product some. They have managed to come close to perfection. Damned close. I'm very pleased with its operation and accuracy. I highly recommend this tool to any woodworker that needs to make precision cuts without having to purchase a $3000 commercial grade table saw with a plywood sled.
