3rd one to break

This is my 3rd HD bit to break, each doing so after a couple of hundred holes which seems like a pretty short life given the cost of these bits. The last break was simply drilling into 2x pine and a small knot was enough to break the tip off.

Could have been better

I've used kreg jigs in the past without issue so I was pretty confident when buying the HD that it would do the job I needed sufficiently. the other review on here, it didn't. I was maybe 15 holes in when the tip of the bit broke off. And, similarly to the other post, I had to stop my project. I'm planning on buying another bit or two to finish up the project but am pretty disappointed in the product. Clean piece of fur and this bit couldn't last 20 minutes.

Good bit

I would have given this bit a 5 star rating but the narrow end of the bit broke off expectantly in a pine 2 X 4 I was drilling . Needless to say I had to stop the project I was on and order 2 more bits. Yes 2 bits this time so I will have one in reserve just in case this ever happens again. With the bit that broke I probably drilled a little over 300 holes and there is just no excuse for it to break the way it did. This was clean wood that had no nails or staples of any kind either. When the bit is not broken I will say it drills a hole easy and fast with no problems at all except for this time. I would definitely recommend this product to any one who is serious about wood working at any level.
