Reviews for "Kreg Jig® K5 Master System"

The clamp on the K5 is very poor and the ratchet slips. The 2 clicks that are supposed to happen when clamping, don’t happen. So I end up using another clamp before drilling. Unlike other great Kreg tools this was disappointing.

missing something

i just got the k5 and was going through it and i noticed that for some strange reason they only put the wood thickness on one side instead of both sides. whats up with that? depending on your location it could be a small inconvenience.

easiest pocket holes you'll ever make

Grabbed this for a few DIY home projects and have now used it on everything from the kitchen cabinets doors and frames, to decking and fence projects. The versatility is great and the master system has almost everything you need to get going on a project. Worth the additional investment.

This is by far one of the best tools I ever bought! The learning curve was so easy and I had my new bathroom vanity prepped and put together in less than 1 hour. I posted the photos on facebook and so many people loved the look. Thanks for making a great product that I will be using for many years to come! -Dan

DO IT Yourself Dream

I have completed about 5-6 projects using this jig and I have had great results. I use the HD and the Micro drill blocks in it as well the Dust collection port does come off easily but has worked pretty well. The clamp gave me some problems during my last project but I found out a screw had come loose. She is now just as strong as she was the day I got her. Great product. Maybe I will get the foreman one day!

Used to be great! Now just good.

No idea how many pocket holes Ive made over the past 20 years...10,000 maybe? The original Kreg jig was made from 2 blocks of aluminum and indestructible. Still have my first one and use it from time to time. The newer ones.....made of plastic. They flex and the angle is just a little different. On the plus side the new ones do offer adjustments the old ones did not. Id buy another one because I need to make pocket holes regularly but no ways near what the old ones were.
