Properly Clamp Your Workpiece for a Flush, Tight-Fitting Joint

posted 6/30/2015 in Kreg Tool Tips: Clamping by Kreg Tool Company

Have you ever noticed that Kreg Automaxx® auto-adjust clamps have clamp pads of two different sizes?

For best results, position your clamp so that the larger face is on the “show side” of the joint. Next, position the smaller face on the side with pocket holes. Once you have done this, clamp your workpiece. Then, drive in your screws and you’ll have a flush, tight-fitting joint.
